Angad Hasija aka Alekh of Bidaai fame had been going around town talking about a grand surprise.

Angad Hasija announced that he was not a bachelor as everyone thought. On the contrary he had been bound in holy matrimony for more than two years! And he wanted to take the opportunity to introduce his wife to the whole world. “I wanted to announce this in a big way and could not think of any other ocassion better than my birthday. My wife’s name is Pari and we have been married for more than two years now,” says the actor. “It was an arranged marriage and my mother selected Pari for me. After our engagement, we saw each other for two years before deciding to get married. It was a traditional Punjabi wedding, which everyone in my hometown remembers,” says Angad.

When asked about the reason to keep his marriage a secret, he states, “I had promised my wife that I would introduce her to the world when I achieve some sort of success in life. With Bidaai doing so well and after gaining all the recognition, I felt this is the right time to talk about her”.
